wisdom
i was sufficiently nervous before hand, everyone i told that i was getting a wisdom teeth pulled told me HORROR stories. stories of pain and misery, stories of mean dentists and the atrocities they have committed.
i was nervous.
but my dentist, the kind and considerate dr young got me relaxed. i sat back and put one ear bud into place and listened to the zombies while they drilled and gave me one filling. the drilling part was bad because of the sound of the drill and the sensation of stinging that went all through the area of my mouth in question. i just tensed up and focused on the music and my girlfriend's face.
next was the wisdom tooth pull, i was very worried because the filling alone had been painful. he told me i would feel some pressure, i felt a little but kept waiting for the real pain to come. eyes closed so tightly that my contacts became glued to my eyeball. he told me the tooth was out about 15 seconds later but the pain never really came!
he gave me some vicodin prescription which i got filled but i don't know if i will need them. i guess it remains to be seen since im still pretty numb. it was not bad at all and i'm looking forward to the next two days of being in bed playing video games.
