Trueblood 5x2: Authority Always Wins
Wow this episode. I think I will still keep my opinion of this season being decent and much better than the lasts. I am still unsure how i feel towards certain things however. Also should state, I did not talk about events in order. :P
This whole Tara being a vamp isn't rubbing me the right way. AT least we know she's not a mentally disabled vampire and that she is just SUPER pissed. I don't blame her, she never wanted anything to do with vampires period she just put up with it and went through a lot of shit in regards to it. Naturally, living with Sookie there would always be something vampire going on. Poor Lafayette, he did have the right of mind of being guilty but in a way i guess Sookie is right with how Jessica was. Just need some time for her to chill out but at the same time Jessica was not super crazy angry over the bits she was just whiny.
This Authority thing is interesting. We had bible thumping humans in season 2(?) and now we have bible thumping vampires. The idea of Lilith is pretty interesting and that God made vampires from his image and humans were just the food. Roman being a decedent is making for an interesting plot story.
Bill and Eric not ratting each other out is awesome. I mean we all know they are strong asses and very stubborn but I like it when situations as this prove that they are loyally fierce to causes they are passionate about.
Newlin being a vampire. Oh man. I think i love it... but i think its really out of the humor of it all. I mean the fact that he went and showed up to Jessica's house party and then trying to buy Jason for $10k... and Jessica talking him up to $20k (totally had me fooled she would sell Jason to him) by telling him things about how you could chip a fang on Jasons ass... Oh man. I always thought Newlin was gay when I watched him a few seasons ago. The way he looked at Jason was not in any means "friendly" it was definitely something more than admiring. Jason watching him on the tv was pretty amusing too. I should probably state I really am not supportive over the whole Jason/Jessica idea. Jessica kind of bothers me although I get her character and its makes sense... it just still doesn't sit right with me.
Sookie is in a real mess. Especially with Andy and Jason finding Debbie's abandoned car. Things are going to trickle their way over to her real quick. She should of reported it because it was in defense EVEN if she wanted to kill her she could easily had those thoughts caught up in the moment and angry because Debbie trespassed and tried to kill her and DID take a shot. I mean come on. I also think there is something going on with the police department even though it is only slightly hinting at things. IE) Judge asking Andy to write off his kid's ticket. Then that one kid coming in and trying to beat the hell out of Jason. Something not to ignore.
The whole Terry and Patrick thing could be interesting but it isn't pulling me in as much as I guess it should. Usually if I want to know I'm like OMG LET ME TRY TO FIGURE THIS OUT but right now I am actually patient enough to be like, Ok I guess we will find out soon anyway what's going on here...
Seeing Pam's background was pretty cool. Maybe it's the era that intrigues me but the idea of seeing how some of characters were back then definitely intrigues me.
Alcide. Alcide. So nice to look at, i just wish the plot and story revolving around his character and Sam/Lunas was more compelling because I really could care less about it. I do love how Alcide is like I really don't give a fuck over this clan or the laws behind it. Such a rebellious one without being rebellious on purpose. I like strong characters like that. Although Marcus's mom is trying to be reasonable now that things have been settled with finding her son's body. The whole cannibalism of eating him though. Um I'm good and to be shown it at the end of the first episode and to continue it into the second. I AM REALLY good. thanks for that hbo. Then how she went to Luna trying to tell her she wanted to be a part of Emma's life because she FEELS that she's wolf wasn't as threatening as it had come off to Luna in my opinion. I really do not like Luna btw. Sam has become such a meh character for me as well I want the Sam that interested me like he did seasons ago. Oh well. Then of course we would see Emma transformed into a little wolf pup after Luna tells off both Grandma and Sam. She's heartless. I don't know if its because she really went through a lot of shit or if she's just a plain bitch. Either way, i don't care much for her.
Lastly, Russel. Shit is about to go down, as soon as he finishes regaining his health. THIS i am excited for. Just saying and how much do you wanna bet that Russell + Newlin is something that may go down?
Anyway, that's my ramblings on Trueblood. I would like to post more of TV Entertainment because that's all I really do with my life. If you think this is too much for your journal but like me still with my personal posts, let me know in a PM that you think I should make a filter and I can make sure to fix that.
