when you need to be whisked away

Midnight in Paris is fantastic in all senses of the word.
[Not really spoiler-y, unless you have no idea what the premise of the film is or what roles the actors play.]
Owen Wilson puts me on edge normally, but here, he assumes his character completely. Adrien Brody as Dali and Tom Hiddleston as Fitzgerald left my heart yearning for more screen time of them. And Hemingway was so extreme it was almost too much, which means Corey Stoll nailed this role. The scene in the cab on the second night when Hemingway speaks about love and fear of dying, his eyes grow glossy and wet but never cry and oh god, I was sold. Or you know, it could have been a physical reaction from not blinking.

I might have to go watch it again. And then I might have to go to Paris and wait at the steps around midnight too.
