Laurie R King!!!!!! And of missing words and mirrors...
M and I went to see Laurie R King speak yesterday!!!!! It was pretty awesome. She is such an intelligent and witty individual, and of course M and I were too giddy to be intelligent while speaking to her in the signing line. So many great stories and advice about writing passed on, however! Of course, having the Gilbert and Sullivan Society singing was a highlight.
Speaking of writing, I am astonished at how many words seem to have disappeared from my exchange story as I review it...I swear I wrote them, but they are nowhere to be found! Oh dear. It is pretty mortifying...which reminds me. I clipped a parked car while driving home yesterday (saw an oncoming car in a street that became a one way and forgot to keep watching my right side. The other car was fine...my side view mirror was knocked off however. There goes my summer paycheck. I am doing my best to forgive myself--something I'm not very good at.
