By looking at the definition of "karma", this would imply not necessarily that what goes around comes around, but rather that generally speaking, your quality of life and destiny are determined by your actions and what you do with your life, or in essence, life is what you make it. I guess this is where the idea came from that good people have better things happen to them. I used to believe that everything happens for a reason because things always seem to work out and I couldn't picture them happening any other way, but now I think that it's just that no matter what happens, life still goes on and you just have to make the best of what you have.
