Olive and Chuck were clearing dirty dishes off the Pie Hole counter, talking about the various customers of the day, when the blonde waitress asked a question that stopped the former dead girl in her tracks.
“If your Ned allergy is so bad, why even take chances kissing through plastic wrap?”
Chuck looked up, but not at Olive. In the kitchen, Ned pressed dough into a pie pan. He must have sensed her gaze because he gave her a crooked grin before going back to baking. And then she knew the answer.
“Because not kissing him is not an option.”
