update:
i went into new orleans on saturday with my parents, roomate lauren, caitlin, laurie, jes and a guy. all 3 of our houses were good. minor damage. i had some mold in the dining room but we found it and killed it. it was really random, my side of the street looked virtually untouched whereas the other side was destroyed. one street would look okay but then ud look in the window and it would be so covered in mold that there is no way you could save ANYTHING. which is what happened with our friend jeffs house. it wasnt as emotional as i thought it was going to be. there were alot of people cleaning up so that was good. uncle johnny has to tear down his house to much mold and structural damage- but hes just gonna move next door. that was upsetting i think the most just because thats the street i was born on. loyola looked good but tulane was insanely damaged. looked like something out of ET with everyone running around with respirators. anyways- the point of entry. all my stuff was okay i packed my clothes and left. ill be at springhill till dec. then lauren and i are gonna move back after christmas. Mardi Gras 06 is still on so you kids be ready and EVERYONE is invited to stay at the house, promise i wont make u sleep next to the mold.
