The three of us returned to the bridge with a whole crew of people. After hearing about our first experience at the bridge, our friends wanted to see for themselves. Even though we came prepared with extra batteries and camera equipment, it made no difference. We managed to get one of the video cameras to work long enough to film everyone getting out of their cars.
As I mentioned in the first post, Emily doesn't like when couples visit the bridge. That rumor was confirmed our second night there when one of friends cars was damaged. After waiting around for a good half hour the wind began to pick up. Gusts of leaves and dirt swirled around us. None of us knew what to make of it. We couldn't tell if it was simply some quickly changing weather, or if we were experiencing the wrath of an angry spirit. Suddenly, branches started to blow off the trees around us. Leaves flew everywhere and you could hear the sound of stones being kicked up by the wind. We all watched in terror as a giant tree limb came crashing down on our friend Auggie's car, denting the hood and cracking the windshield. It was at that moment that we all simultaneously got into or vehicles and sped away.
Back at my friend Emily's apartment we tried to make sense of what had happened. Most of us just believed it was just a result of crazy Vermont weather. However, some of us believe that Emily targeted that particular car because it belonged to the only couple there. We did have a good laugh thinking of how Auggie would explain the damage to his insurance company.
As a side note, one of our friends managed to snap a few pictures with his camera phone. There are a few orbs visible in the photos. We can't tell if they are just specs of dirt or something unexplainable.
