"you've got some perspiration on your puss there Billy boy..."

Zoe is turning 2 in 4 days.  I believe all the experts call this the “oppositional” phase.  Yeah, she’s really learning how to voice her own opinion.  Strong willed little turd, she is.  Wonder where she gets that?  It’s a lot more work, this toddler-rearing…compared to when she was a baby.  You’d think it’d be the other way around, but it’s not.  I’ve been thinking back to those days when I could plop her in the pack & play, put on a Baby Einstein DVD & she’d be content to sit there & watch for an hour or so.  Boy oh boy are those days gone.  In fact, I'm sure I will have to stop at least 37 times while writing this.

My latest favorite movie is Waitress.  I actually wanted to watch it again when it was over (which of course I didn’t have time to do) & I haven’t had the desire to do that with a movie in a long time.

I really want to see Juno.  I have a feeling it might be my new favorite movie.

Also, I Am Legend is a must.  I just have a thing for Will Smith movies.

Oooh & I can’t wait for Cloverfield.  It comes out on our anniversary.  Might be a movie night.

OK, that wraps up the movie segment…on to Christmas specials…

I'm positively giddy that they finally put A Wish For Wings That Work out on DVD...after how many years???  I felt particularly old when we walked into Suncoast to see if they had it & the teenage salesperson had no idea what we were talking about.  Also, I am pleased to say that Zoe loves it & wants to watch it over & over.  She is obviously going to grow into a woman of taste.

And now for TV…

So, I cried like a schoolgirl who lost her puppy the other night when I finally watched the series finale of Gilmore Girls.  That’s embarrassing…but true.  I fear for Lauren Grahams career.  Seems that all she’s really good at is being Lorelei Gilmore.  Evan Almighty & Because I Said So weren’t exactly break-out roles.  Maybe she’ll get a new show like almost everybody else in the main cast.  That’d be nice.  I think she’s better for TV.  I feel mildly retarded even putting these thoughts in print…so there you have it.

The weather…

Ice sucks.  Landlords suck.  I had to buy a 25 pound bag of rock salt today & spread it around myself, just to make sure we don't die on the way out to our cars.

Speaking of landlords...we're planning on moving sometime next year.  Hopefully we'll be able to wait until our lease is up in July (or is it Aug.?).  There are many, many reasons for the move.  Mainly, I need help...& help lives an hour away.  Plus, I think I’d like to get a part-time job.  We could use the extra money & I could stand to brush up on my people skills.  Spending most of your time with a toddler really does an interesting number on your brain.  We don’t really want to move back to that particular area but reality has left us no choice in the matter.  The older I get, the more practical I get.  It kind of sucks.
