I've had this idea for yonks, but didn't really find the right format, then the show was DED TO ME, etc - you get the picture. Now, it's a drabble, and one in honour of Mr. Hughes.

8. Being Sloane Peterson
Psych-verse, 26th August 2009

Remembering back, Juliet O'Hara realised that, really, it was always Cameron.
She identified a little too much with Sloane, pumping her hair up and wearing shorts like it was Bermuda weather all year round.
She identified with the sense that Sloane would outgrow Ferris, would be a little sad when he left her for a co-ed in his first year at college, but always, always, she'd talk down the phone and laugh and sigh at the one guy who seemed more emotionally stunted than her.
The guy who held open the door but didn't expect her to sleep with him at the end - the guy who bought her a sunflower instead of roses, and beer instead of wine.
Because it was always going to end with a Ferris and begin with a Cameron - and for Juliet? The end of the beginning was always the best part.
