After four months of hard work at the gym, a slightly revised diet and mostly conscious eating, I am proud (and thrilled) to say that I have achieved my weight loss goal: 20 pounds. All my pants, except my pair of "skinny jeans," which used to be tight, even on a good day, are too big. Like one to two sizes too big. It amazes me how big the change really is, for really nothing in the way of traditional "dieting." I've enjoyed cookies, pie, beer, wine, chips, sausage, abalone sliders, pasta, and pizza.
When I started going to the gym, back in February, I really would have been happy with just 10 pounds, but I am so glad that I pushed for more! I do feel better, though I'd be lying if I told you I was just a fountain of energy or couldn't live without the gym. True, I do feel better after having a good workout, and I'm enjoying the fruits of my labors, namely more toned muscles. And what's keeping me going to the gym now is that I want to keep that up and continue to improve.
Yay me!
