I don't consider myself a slasher. I'm actually more of a fan of het pairings and I usually slash for the lulz. Buuuut, I really like the pairing of Kanji and the Protagonist. Then again, I ship the Protagonist with everyone.
I think even if the Protagonist were a girl I'd still like the pairing. The appeal isn't so much two guys making out, but Kanji finally coming to terms with whatever his sexuality is. Even though the game itself has character development up the wazoo, I didn't like how it treated Kanji's sexuality like a cheap gag. I just want the boy to get some resolution and grow from there. And who better to help him than the game's very own messiah?
