I saw its birth
I watched it grow
I felt it change me
All I have been thinking about lately is school. I honestly do not like school, and I don't understand why I am going. I know that its good to have an education, but I feel like I'm learning NOTHING. Photography as a career isn't very promising, but if I could make decent money off of it and be happy wouldn't that be enough?
My dad thinks this Photography thing is gonna go nowhere, and that I'm wasting my money. I so badly want to prove him wrong.
A wedding photographer that I know from work talked with me for a while about this. He was in a similar situation when he was young. He told me that he went through college because of his dad, just to make him happy. His education never really got him anywhere but he's glad that he did it. He told me to start learning as much as I can about photography, start entering contests where I can win money, and put a portfolio together.
This was probably the most inspiring advice. So this is what I'm going to start doing. I <3 everyone!!
