Ever since The Globe went exclusively classic rock (no offense to those who dig the old stuff all the time, but I really miss the ipod-esque mix they used to have), we've had the dial on the classical station WETA in the bedroom, and I just adore it. On occasion they play something I played and/or marched in high school, and it brings back wonderful memories. This morning I was listening to Bernstein conduct the LA Symphony playing his own Candide Overture. Senior year was our Bernstein year. I can still vividly picture the music and all the marching sets I maneuvered on the field.
