Texas may not exactly be the greatest place in the world. The show certainly never glossed over the oppressive, obsessive, and hypocritical elements of the football-worshiping, God-fearing culture of the American South. Yet never have I seen on television a place so beautiful, so lived-in, and so real.
Here's to God, and football, and ten years from now, Street, good friends living large in Texas.
