FIFTY WAYS TO LEAVE YOUR LOVER- BREAK UP SCENES
No major spoilers, character names avoided
I've always enjoyed a good break-up scene. Mainly because there are so many different types. There's the one that is used to set up character where at the beginning of a film a heroine/hero may be dumped by her philandering, cheapskate no good boyfriend before meeting the future romantic foil. There's the climatic, dramatic break up where vases are thrown and tears are shed. Break-ups that are permanent, and break-ups that are only there to provide more drama before the two get back together and kiss before the credits roll. And so on and so forth.
So after some thought, and after listening to some Paul Simon, I decided to put together a compilation of 50 break-ups I have seen on the screen. Some of them made me cry, some of them made me laugh, but all of them ended a relationship.
