05. the cheerleader
needy lesnicky: you know what? you were never really a good friend. even when we were little, you used to steal my toys and pour lemonade on my bed.
jennifer check: and now, i'm eating your boyfriend. see? at least i'm consistent.

why i love her: she's hilarious. like, seriously. she's also gorgeous (well, duh, megan fox anyone?), smart, witty, but severely, severely damaged as well.
who is she: most popular girl in high school until she was murdered by a bunch of singers who believed her to be a virgin (yeah, right...); so she turned into a demon which, in order to remain "alive", had to eat boys. that's right: to.eat.boys. nothing can be cooler than that xD
cause of death: stabbed by the hand of her best friend, needy. well, actually, that's her second death because she was murdered at the beginning of the movie anyway xD
04. the nurse

why i love her: god, she's creepy as hell! kathy did a wonderful job, her oscar was well-deserved indeed! she's the definition of neurotic: sweet, kind and loving one minute, scary and fucking crazy the next.
who is she: once a nurse, she was found guilty of the murder of several newborn children under her care. she has an unhealthy obsession with romance novels, particularly the "misery" series. she often has difficulty in differentiating between these novels and reality and she's also fanatically religious. she probably suffers from bipolar disorder.
cause of death: in the movie, sheldon kills her by ramming a metal statue of her pet sow pig -named misery after his stories- into her face. in the novel, she fractures her skull when she slips and falls on the mantle of the guest room bed. she manages to escape the bedroom and dies in her barn with her hands on a chainsaw, which she presumably intended to use on sheldon.
recognitions: included by the american film institute in their "100 heroes and villains" list, ranking her as the 17th most iconic villain (and the seventh-most iconic villainess) in film history.

why i love her: she could easily be my best friend (minus the psycho part): she's sweet, mature, kind, loving and she really adores her sister. of course, she did kill her and her mother plus the evil, almost!stepmother, but that doesn't really count xD
who is she: after a boathouse fire kills her terminally ill mother, she's sent to a psychiatric institution for a suicide attempt. ten months later, she is going home but has no memory of the fire. she keeps seeing her mother's spirit and, with her sister's help, tries to figure out the past of her dad's new girlfriend, rachel (once her mother's nurse). long story short: she went crazy after she accidentally killed her mother and sister, and because that same night she saw her father making out with rachel but forgot everything about it, she convinced herself that rachel was the one who killed her mother (she didn't even know her sister was dead, she only found out later). well, she's damaged. like, really damaged.
cause of death: she doesn't die in the movie; she returns to the psychiatric institution, where she's most likely to die of old age xD

why i love her: omg she's delightful! she's soooo crazy but hilariously so! xD you gotta love her xD and her songs are teh best, end of story.
who is she: in every version of the story in which she appears, mrs. lovett is the business partner and accomplice of barber/serial killer sweeney todd; in some versions, she is also his lover (yes please!). she makes and sells meat pies made from todd's victims. before she goes into business with todd, she is on the verge of poverty.
cause of death: in the movie's final sequence, todd murders a beggar woman, only to discovers that she is actually lucy, his wife. todd confronts mrs. lovett, who confesses that lucy survived drinking the poison but was driven insane, reduced to begging. she then confesses her love to todd, and promises to be a better wife than lucy ever was. todd pretends to forgive her, gathering her in his arms -only to throw her into the furnace, where she burns to death.

why i love her: as isabelle so eloquently puts it: "esther doesn't think she's evil, she just wants to find the perfect family, and of course, in her own twisted mind, she can also kill to get what she wants". the thing is, esther is the sweetest girl ever when she's not killing anyone xD
who is she: she's a 9-year-old russian girl (or so it seems...) who gets adopted by john and kate coleman; she seems lovely, kind and clever at first, but after a short while she reveals her true nature. and she basically tries to kill everyone and their mother xD
cause of death: as esther attempts to stab kate, they both fall in the frozen pond near the house. kate crawls out of the hole, followed by esther, who begs for her life, addressing kate as "mommy" while hiding a knife behind her back. kate angrily responds that she is not her mother and kicks esther in the face, possibly breaking her neck and sending her back into the pond.
