it was so hard to pick some of my favourite things from the noughties. there was such a great selection, but i've picked 15 films, 10 musicians and 5 tv programs.
MY TOP 15 FILMS

V FOR VENDETTA
there are so many reasons why I love this movie. gah, it's just amazing. the script, the cinematography, the plot. and it was cast flawflessly. just one of the many reasons i love natalie portman. it's such a perfect film.
UP
i cried so much when i first saw this movie. it was hysterical, heart-wrenching and awesome, all at the same time. i've never been a big fan of cartoons, but this movie was my exception.
THIS IS ENGLAND
i adore this movie, it's just completely mind-blowing. the characters are perfect, and the little kid deserves so much credit for his role. this movie made me cry buckets too.
REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA
this is my guilty pleasure. i usually hate musicals, but there was something about this one. the songs were chilling, yet catchy, and the dystopian setting was great. plus, i'm completely in love with pavi. <3<3
RED EYE
i only watched this a few nights ago, but i've been hooked ever since. i love cillian murphy, he plays the villain so well, and this film was no exception. i was on the edge of my seat, completely breathless all the way through.
INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
quentin tarantino is a genius and my fucking idol. ever since i saw reservoir dogs, i've been hooked on his work, and i couldn't wait for this film. brad pitt was amazing, and so were the rest of the cast. i was pretty-much obsessed with 'the bear jew'.
DONNIE DARKO
this movie is one of my all time favourites, i've watched it around 38475773728 times, despite frank creeping the fuck out of me. the soundtrack is pretty great to. x)
DISTRICT 9
this is the newest film on the list, and i was very pleasantly surprised. behind the action and the sci-fi theme, there was a strong political message, and it really made me change the way i see things. i'd reccomend you watch it.
THE UGLY TRUTH
for a romantic comedy (which i normally hate), this was very good. it really cemented my love for gerard butler, and made me like katherine heigl just a little more. and dayummm, was it funny.
THE MACHINIST
christian bale. -glomps- i loves him so much. and yeah, this film was creepy, but it was also pretty damn amazing. it was completely astounding.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT
yeah, i know, everybody picks this movie. but, good lord, it's amazing. breathless, amazing, astounding, suspenseful. there's not a bad thing about it. it's my favourite movie of all time and i adore it. although, i do have a massive crush on the joker, so i am biased. i would do naughty things to him.
CLOSER
this movie was just so beautiful and perfect. natalie portman was amazing in her role, but i am obsessed with clive owen in this. he doesn't sugar-coat anything, he asks questions he really wants to know, and he's totally perverted. :P and hot, obviously.
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
this. this is another example of why heath ledger is my favourite actor of all time. he's so flexible, perfect in every role. this movie was simple and heart-wrenching and utterly adorable. it's such an amazing movie, and i cry like a baby everytime i watch it.
AMERICAN PSYCHO
hot damn, patrick bateman. for a total psycho, you're very hot. oh, and the movie was good too. :) better than good, actually.
AMERICAN BEAUTY
one of my favourite movies. wry, black comedy done perfectly, and kevin spacey is great in this. everybody should see this movie, really.

this show has been so perfect and awesome. cast perfectly, great plot and completely addictive. and i fancy the pants off eric northman.
SUPERNATURAL
seriously, this show is like my heroin. full of top notch eye-candy (JENSEN ACKLES <3<3<3<3<3) and made my the genius, eric kripke. the plot, the visuals, the bad-assness of the characters.
SKINS
i miss maxie and chris, but this new season has been very good. the twins, cook <3 I LOVE THESE GUYS.
MISFITS
this has just started and i'm already hooked. nathan is completely badass and totally awesome.
GLEE
one word. hilarious. can't get enough of this program :)
