Updates, updates
So nothing really new the past few weeks. I ordered a few more coins and rediscovered my old pocket watches and gave them batteries. I use one at work since I can't have my cellphone with me while I work. I mean seriously, who wants to lug around a big heavy piece of plastic that barely fits in pockets just to check the time and yet you never have to time to browse casually on it?
It's better to just use a pocket watch, it's lightweight, has a cover, has a chain to prevent drops, and gives you what you need in an instant. I use a cheap Chinese pocket watch I got on Amazon. Looks good, so pretty cool too. Anyway, no new experiences at Chicken City©. Except for nearly getting stabbed by some old guy who looked minutes away from death. His fucking face was gaunt as hell and I could see his skull outline.
Props to the old guy for still being competent enough to operate a switchblade. Shit didn't get real enough for me to beat his ass into submission, but if I had to kick someone's ass in that situation I would have been justified. I have more days off these days which is ok, but I think I'll look for employment where I'm needed. We have too many people working at Chicken City, so there's weird scheduling bs going on.
We have a whatsapp group for checking the schedule, because sending an email to the employees is too fucking difficult I guess. I like how the management posts shit we already know and expects everyone to respond. Like, no, I'm off the clock I don't need to be checking that shit and responding to shit after my shift or on my day off. It's been fun working there, and it's been fun doing the bare minimum.
People call it "quiet quitting", but that definition implies you do enough not to get fired. I call it working, because I'm doing what's in my job description and nothing more. So that's just what I've been up, surviving like usual. Just got back from a vacation to the beach too, so that was fun.
