(no subject)
I had my first cross country meet yesterday. I was so proud of myself that I was able to run a 5k race, but the course was very difficult. We had to run about 2 miles through a field of corn with rolling hills, and it got very repetitive very fast. Oh, well...the first race is over with and I can do this season! My coach's saying is, "What you can do once, you can do twice. What you can do twice, you can do over and over."
Today we went to my sister's kindergarten testing, and the teacher was very proud of her progress. She even suggested that my sister should go directly to first grade! I was so proud. We went shopping to buy a present for my mom's birthday on Friday, and I got her a handmade candle from one of the stores here in Dutch Village in Holland. While we were there, we ran into two men from Holland in the Netherlands. It was strange to see people from that far away in our town.
Hope everyone is doing really well. I'm a little sick, so I might just go and relax.
