I didn't do anything much, we had a MASSIVE storm, worst I can remember, which went on for ages and then knocked the power out for nearly five hours (so we headed into town where there was power and shopped) and then we had to clear up afterwards (bits of trees whatnot all over the garden, plants squashed, pots blown everywhere)

So yeah, RL took over with a bang crash wallop.

No, there weren't in injuries as far as I know but some people's houses were damaged, I'm so glad we only had garden mess to clear up!

Oof, yeah, nothing to be done about it

It was a worse storm in other parts of the state, I heard of a small town where, tragedy of tragedies, the pub roof blew off!

That storm must have been very disruptive. I'm glad you escaped without serious damage.

We tend to get less wild weather here, not sure why, and it was worse in other places.
