Happy New Year!
I had an awesome New Year's. I got drunk at my favorite dive bar, went to a "punk cabaret" and watched a jazz band do covers of Nirvana as a team of acrobats in old-time costumes did their act. Then I went to another party, an old-school rave -- where some jerk puked on my shoe. I was also hit in the face with a pie. I went to the bathroom & cleaned up, then went back to Manhattan for a 3am concert by Titus Andronicus, who are a fine punk band & whose album you should buy. I was in a mosh pit for the first time in about 2 years. Felt good, man.
If the first day of the new year sets the tone for the rest of it, then 2010 is gonna be awesome.
