That is enough rice for today.

From FreeRice.com:

"You have donated 10000 grains of rice.
Wow! Now THAT is impressive!"

From Wikianswers:

How many grains of rice are in a one pound bag of long grain rice?

According to Producer's Rice Mills, (http://www.producersrice.com/rice/facts.html), there are over 29,000 grains in a pound of long grain white rice.

You'd have slightly fewer for long grain brown, as each grain retains its bran layer. Short grain rice is 3-4 times shorter, so you'd have 3-4 times as many in a pound.

and

• 1 lb. dry rice = approx. 2 1/4 c. (vol.)
• 1 cup cooked rice = approx. 8 oz. (wt.)
• 1 lb. cooked rice = approx. 1 pt. (2 cups)

• 1 lb. dry rice yields about 6-7 cups cooked rice

....so I just played a lot of rice. Granted, in the big scheme, not so much, but it's a lot more than I've played before, and now I solidly know where Burundi is, and that the difference between Mg and Mn, and also that le brouillard is "fog" in French.

pointedly pointless
