I think I figured out why the youth of today is so messed up. It's not violence or the internet or television or south park or marilyn manson or anything like that. No, the cause is pretty simple: baby voices.
A million times a week I see parents standing over their babies making funny faces and strange voices at them, trying to get them to laugh. Without fail, every single time this happens, the first thing the baby does is stare back with a puzzled expression. Now it's been said that babies' minds develop at an incredible rate, which is how they're able to learn language and such. So like, does it really do any good to make your babies think that going over to someone and saying, "A boo-boo-boo-boo. La la la la la. Raaaaaaaar! Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr" is normal? And worst of all, it's not like maybe the baby can think this is weird behavior, since EVERYONE that talks to a baby does this! I don't know about you all, but if the only people who ever talked to me did so in high pitched cutesy voices while sticking out their toungues and clapping their hands, I'd want to shoot someone too.
