Real-life couples I love. Some of them are not together at the moment, but I loved them while they were, because they have a good chemistry/look hot together/they look really in love.
BTW, there's a few couples I couldn't put in my list, because mellafe veto-ed them off my list (to make the story short: we wrote our lists together, she thinks faster than me). So if you're interested, go and check her list (when she posts hers).
Cate Blanchett & Andrew Upton
*Sigh* First, a confession: I don't find him attractive at all. But he must be an incredibly interesting guy, because Cate adores him. When she talks about him, you can see how in love she is, and when they go to award shows, she looks so happy next to him. Plus, the kids are adorable.
Kate Winslet & Sam Mendes
Kate is really "the girl next door" when she's giving an interview: it makes you feel close to her. So, to see her so happy with Sam , this great director, makes me happy. Have you watched how she smiles when she talks about him? It'll make you smile, I promise.
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
Yeah, Vero, I'm sorry. I pick Brad with Angie. I like her. I like that they're having kids like there's no tomorrow, and travelling the world as a modern Brady Bunch. Plus, with those genes, they're improving the human race big time. I remember, at the beginning of their relationship, thinking "oh boy, here's another one for her list of ex-husbands", but she looks different from her other relationships. She looks more grounded, more... I don't know how to explain it. And then I read the interview where she confesses that she never wanted to have kids of her own, only wanted to adopt, but with Brad that changed. I think it was when I started to ship them for real (before that, it was because I prefer Angie over Jen). Hollywood is like High School: it's nice to see the prom king leaving the head cheerleader for the artsy goth girl, who's into bondage and S&M *g*.
Emily Blunt & Michael Buble
I read somewhere that they're not together (he cheated on her?) and it made me sad, because I love how low profile they are. I like his voice and her talent and they looked great together.
Rachel McAdams & Ryan Gosling
The couple that makes us all go "awwwwwwwwww". They were cute at those MTV Awards, and while they were together the first time, I never paid too much attention to them. BUT THEN THEY BROKE UP AND THE FANS WENT NUTS! I was bummed because they look so good together... and after a while, they realized what all of us knew: they're perfect for each other.
Katharine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy
Sadly, their love was doomed by his deep catholicism. But they were together until he died, and she kept loving him beyond that. Their movies together are great, and their love is palpable in every picture of them together.
Matthew Perry & Lauren Graham
I read that they dated a few years ago and now they're "just friends". Yeah. I don't buy that. They goof around, she's as crazy as him and they're so dorky and cute together. I hope someday we get the news that yes, they're been together all this time.
Marion Cotillard & Guillaume Canet
The french couple! The movie that they made together is so romantic. They're both so pretty and look so in love with each other. I still remember her speech at the Oscar. And, apparently, there's a video of Guillaume watching her on the telly while that happened... I need to see that one.
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi
Portia was one of the reasons why I watched Ally McBeal. Yes, she was a bitch but I prefered her over Ally any time (the other reason was RDJ). Ellen... you can't not love her. She's hilarious and smart and cute and I never liked her with Anne Heche. Together, they look incredibly happy, so in love and so pretty. When Ellen annouced her wedding on her show, I got all teary. I like to see them together.
Idina Menzel & Taye Diggs
BRODWAYCOUPLEOMG! I know that they fell in love while doing Rent (the play, not the movie) and they got married and did the movie and they look hot together. And, when she won the Tony, his face was... incredible. He was so happy. I loved that.
