Prompt 9:1: Heat of the Moment
It's the eye of the tiger
Its the cream of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rivals
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the eye of the tiger

He’d known about the forthcoming apocalypse brought on by the demonic forces of Hell for months now, and throughout the impending doomsday heading their way, he wished-hoped even-that the angelic forces of good would come down and stop the war. Unlike his brother, Sam never stopped believing that there angels. If there were demons, then surely there were angels too. The world had to have a balancing force.
When they finally had come to Earth, Sam wished-despite that he was grateful-they’d have arrived sooner. Fewer lives would’ve been lost to possession.
Sam contemplated why they’d only come to his brother and his brother alone, but then he remembered that demon blood flowed in his own body and they had saved Dean from his own damnation for a purpose. And that purpose was to make sure he’d save Sam from the dark path he was heading down if he continued to use his powers given to him by Azazel. But Sam hadn’t been using his powers for evil; in fact, he’d saved so many lives by channeling nothing but good intentions through his mental exorcisms.
Perhaps he was cheating by using these forbidden powers, but when Sam tried it the old fashioned way, innocent lives were more likely to be taken. But what could be so evil about saving lives?
