What is a WTF Pairing?
Let's put it like this:
Canon Pairing
A pairing that has occurred during the course of a show.
i.e. Lost, Jack/Kate, Sawyer/Juliet
Popular Pairing
A pairing that may not have occurred in the show, but is still popular amongst the fandom.
i.e. Supernatural, Sam/Dean, Dean/Cas
Rare Pairing
A less-common pairing with a smaller following.
i.e. Supernatural, Sam/Lucifer, Cas/Balthazar
WTF Pairing
A pairing that literally makes you go, "What-- you... wait. What the fuck?" One with very little to no following -- one that might not even be created yet.
i.e. Lost, Jacob/Frank Lapidus, Richard/Charlotte
How can I tell if this pairing is a WTF Pairing?
- If you've never read a fic with those characters as a couple, it's probably a WTF Pairing.
- If both characters are minor and loosely connected, it's probably a WTF Pairing.
- If you fear ridicule and scorn for suggesting those characters do the dirty, it's probably a WTF Pairing.
- If you just made up the pairing in your head, it's probably a WTF Pairing.

- Since it's sometimes hard to exactly define a WTF Pairing, both Rare and WTF Pairings are allowed. That means if it's popular or canon, we Do Not Want.
- No bashing.
- Seconding is allowed!
- Restrain yourself when giving prompts. I won't put a cap on how many you can post, but if you comment with 10 or more in a row, I will quietly judge you.
