4 hours sleep => fainting

Exciting day yesterday.  Had an early night to prepare for an 8.45 nurse's appointment, woke up at 2.30, didn't go back to sleep so fiddled a bit on the computer.  Got up, walked there in 15 minutes, announced myself as the 8.45 patient and waited.  And waited.  Half an hour in I asked if the nurses were really running 30 minutes late.  Only then did the same person I announced myself to point out my appointment was at 9.45 (as per my diary had I but looked).  Yes, I failed myself but I wasn't helped.  Then I went to sleep in the waiting room, and woke up at 10... and still wasn't called in for another 15 minutes.  So yes, that's 100 minutes waiting for a 10 minute appointment.

The good news was that my shoulder is healing beautifully with no sign of pus.

I made a quick detour to an old friend who I lived nearby and who I never have time to catch up with, before walking once more to my osteopath.  HE was inevitably running 15 minutes late too, however once more I got a clean bill of health (mostly).  Walked home via the chemist (about 40 minutes in total).

I mention all the walking specifically because it's more than I usually do (although the speed and energy it demonstrated was very encouraging).  I suspect between that, the lack of sleep and the energy flow increase after the osteopath all left me so woozy that it was only willpower that got me through eating in the evening.  By the time I was done, I virtually fell asleep on the couch watching The Day Today before I realised how dizzy I was feeling.  I stayed conscious long enough to turn everything off and check my blood sugars (they were actually fine) before falling into bed.  And actually, I didn't faint but sleep came very shortly afterwards.

Needless to say, I'm a bit shaky today.  I had another few hours awake, ended up with 9 1/2 hours sleep but with blood sugar problems.  Finger crossed I can make to vampire on Sunday (too much to do!).
