1st Pick: #04 First off I'm a sucker for the subject of the icon so I was instantly drawn to it. I hate to repeat myself but the cropping (yet again :-) is magnifique and the text is simply perfect.
5th pick: #7 The b&w image with the pink light effect is very played out, but you use it really effectively here. The cropping's also very well done; I'm intrigued by the main subject of the icon.

3rd pick: #42 The sharp image, contrast, and vivid coloring caught my eye right away. Most people (including me) like to soften up animated images, but I really like how you gave it a darker, harder-edged effect.
