Anime North was, in short, AMAZING! After all, where else can you be asked to pose while in cosplay on a motercycle for a picture, watch your best friend defy all laws of life and magically merge with some hawt cosplayer at the j-rave, and have another 'heigh-challenged' friend show up at your hotel room door at four in the morning with two gorgous guys draped over her arm? (by the way, ms. Height- Challenged claimed they only played yu-gi-oh...) And I met Svetlana Chmakova, which was awesome. In the line-up for her signing, there was the basement otaku, who was not made for cons. My friends and I asked him if he would mind taking a picture of us, and he replied, "Why, YES, I do MIND, for you have been going SQUEE in my EAR for the past ten minutes!" I am still unsure how many pictures we have of us behind his back making faces at him, pointing in horror at his "I <3 Hentai" bag, or holding up a sign that says "*ahem* squee". The sign was my idea :P The Dramacon panel was awesome too, and I finally met Joyce! It's been a few years since we started talking, and I forgot where the meeting place was last year (oops) but it worked out. We met at the panel, then went out and had sushi with her boyfriend Marcus. It was awesome! Then the J-pop, because a con isnt a con without it.
Oh in line I also met Holly, who was at Svet's panel! :D I met Lauren there too, only that was in the registration line... The workshop was awesome! Just came back from Toronto today, and am... erm, was... cramming for my english exam tomorrow x__x. The art drawn by the people at the workshop was AMAZING. My manga felt small in comparison... although I like the story I'm working at, and will post them as soon as I do some work after exam week. I know, I said earlier that I would post something weekly... *snort* hasn't happened. If anyone actually reads this though, would you be nice and look at my old stuff? which was drawn like a year ago and lacks anatomy, flow, storyline, and just about everything that makes it art? Heh.
OH! I owe this picture to Svetlana Chmakova... my pannier is all messed up in this shot though, and the skirt needs to be hemmed up a couple inches.... and if i get more money, I'll buy more lace... and I do belive I'm trying not to faint in this shot (ah, the life of a fangirl...)
oh noes! it's blurry
I'll post the better pic taken by my friend Victoria if I can get it from her... she's posted it on Facebook, which I am highly against for stalker and privacy reasons (seriously, why not wear a sign saying "lookit what I'm doing in my life and STALK ME!"?!?!) So I may have to bribe a friend with cookies...
its not blurry when its little... Sorry I'll get a better pic later >w<
and I hereby delcare myself a Queen of Procrastination! Anybody with me on that?
