I have been unceremoniously "volunteered" to help with customer service calls. Not just logging voice mails either. No I'm supposedly going to be actually calling Avon ladies and discussing their problems. This is not remotely what I was hired to do. I do not have the disposition for this and I most certainly do not have the expertise or the training. I am supremely unhappy about this, but I seem to have no choice in the matter.
This will easily be my one of my least favorite workdays ever. Killling myself before the end of the day is not out of the question and if no one hears from me, now you'll know why.
EDIT:They seem to have come to their senses and realized it would be more work than it's worth to train me to answer questions. Also I believe someone, somewhere noticed my less than personable disposition. As such I have been relegated to simply logging all the voice mail (about 10-12 per hour) and passing them on to the actual customer service people. I would've posted this sooner but I didn't want to jinx it. Thanks to everyone for their support.
