Birthdays and stuff. Heavy on the stuff.

Since I've been busy catching up on all the stuff I've missed since Friday , I haven't had the chance to do a proper write up of my birthday weekend. I'm not really feeling a full diatribe, at least on this, right now. When in doubt, Bulleted Lists!

You should feel no shame regarding the fear factor of Finding Nemo. Both Sleeping Beauty, and Dumbo still, in select parts only, give me the absolute creeps. Practically nightmare quality stuff actually.

Definitely glad I got that birthday greeting in in a timely manner. If I'm going to hell I'd really like it be related to some serious sinning, instead of my normal lack of focus.

I can definitely see the heebie-jeebie factor in some of the older Disney stuff. None of it really did much too me though. I think it was because everything was so obviously a cartoon. With Nemo my problem was the realism with which the sea is rendered. And you know, I just have problems with that inescapable underwater helplessness.

Your greeting certainly made the cut off, though I've removed the decree for those whose didn't. Yours was so nice that I even responded on a Sunday. Feel privileged.

In Dumbo it's the pink elephants on parade bit. It's the nightmarish surrealism that freaks me out every time. *shudders*

Feel privileged

I was shocked actually. Norman J. on the weekend always throws me a little.

I've removed the decree for those whose didn't.

Very kind of you to stop damning those who weren't timely in their birthday greetings. Your generosity of spirit knows no bounds.

Them elephants were damn creepy.

Your generosity of spirit knows no bounds.
I am quite shocked by it myself sometimes.

Your modesty is pretty impressive as well.

Isn't it. I am often surprised by my ability to give of myself.
