i'm glad that my flight is tomorrow cause i cant think of any more cliches for my journal entry titles. the highlights of the past few days have been meeting my little highstrung nephews and nieces, who adore me, of course. i like them cause there arent any kids in my family that i see regularly and that sucks. anyways i got to run around and play hide and seek and stuff, which was pretty rad. kids are also great cause theyre small enough that you can pick them up like cats. chinese kids are especially great cause theyre so. fucking. cute. even if they mostly turn out ugly later.
the other highlight was going to the 'country' and eating country food which is way better than normal food for some reason. i got to go to some farms and i saw lots of things growing, mainly dragonfruits, which i got to eat, but also mangos, eggplants, pineapples, chives, chiles, starfruit, some stuff i can't remember, and possibly papayas. if i ever come back here i think i'd like to live in a smaller town. where lots of food is growing.
the only sad thing is the big hole in my right shoe, which sucks cause of all this rain. oh, and also my godfather's shitty wife. so very terrible. she's the gallagher of hong kong.
for the plane ride i'm planning on finally reading jimmy corrigan, listening to jim guthrie, but not jimmy eat world. also mishima and v s naipaul. and then i'll be back. fat, brown, and fairly happy. ok cool.
