Dragon Age meme - Day 1: Favourite game
WHAT DO YOU MEAN 2 DIFFERENT MEMES AT THE SAME TIME?
Came across this meme somewhere in a word doc saved somewhere last year.
Figured I'd give it a go seeing as it's a pretty damn awesome game series.
Okay, for future reference, I've only played Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2, so no DLC shizz.
Because I'm a cheapskate like that.
Anyway, onwards with the meme!
I'd have to pick ..
Dragon Age 2
Because it was my first DA game. That's what I think, anyway.
Of course I loved the fact that you could basically create your Warden from scratch in DAO. The different origin stories gave you the opportunity to get to know your character right (well, not exactly, but you get me ..) from the beginning. You get more feeling with their personal lives and all .. and I sort of missed that feeling in DA2.
However, the fact that Hawke was voiced just did it for me. It gave the character so much more personality. And because I played DAO afterwards, I sort of missed that.
The storyline also appealed to me a tad bit more than the one in DAO. Somehow it did feel a bit odd when a new Act started. Luckily because of Varric storytelling you knew certain years had passed, but in-game it just felt a bit .. I dunno, it didn't really come across.
Okay, enough beating around the bush here xD
I think the voiced Hawke and it being my first game out of the series did it for me.
