(no subject)
ok, for all you steady fans of mine, i guess i have to update you on my possible change in careers. i decided last week that i wanted to be a high school teacher. so now i have sent applications/resumes to 6 different counties here in the state trying to find a job as an art teacher or maybe a computers/technology teacher. 3 were to the area here and 3 were to counties along the coast. i really hope i hear something soon. the futon gets more and more uncomfortable as these long weeks go by.

friday i went with patrick and traci (my only two friends here hahaha) to eat at the mellow mushroom. i had a calzone, but i wasnt terribly hungry. i was all pensive that evening for some reason, and i guess it affected my appetite as well. afterwards we went to a small art gallery opening for a graffiti artist. it was an interesting exhibit... all the paintings were on wooden or plastic boxes that served as housing for a single speaker. there were hundreds of these painted speaker boxes stacked up along a wall and every one was blaring music. in the back there was a video of someone painting a large image on a floor (the camera was stationary above the floor). it was in super fast spped so you saw the image being created. he would then paint something else over it. this process went on a few times until he had painted the whole thing white. that was pretty cool. i was a bit tired from my weird sleep schedule, so i just went home early after the gallery.
yesterday i sat around all day until 7:30 when i drove over to traci's to meet up with her so that we could drive downtown to meet her friend alyssa and her internet date (i cant remember his name now). lucky for her we got there. this guy was......interesting..... so i think we helped her feel a bit better about the situation. we left there and drove to chapel hill to see an improv comedy show. before the show started traci and i went to henry's and sat for a bit to stall for some time. i had some spicy ass fries and had to eat ice out of traci's drink. the show was ok... the last act was the best one. i got home at 3am and immediately crashed.
today i havent done a damn thing!! hahaha thrilling
this week hopefully i will start hearing from some of the teaching positions i have applied for. wish me luck on that. i'm afraid i need it. :|
