well in June anyways....

So this weekend i spent at home, and it was nice to be there and see my lil' brother and spend QT with the parents. Al is diabetic now and Claire feels the need to check everyone's sugar levels. Nothing like waking up first thing in the morning and having your mother approach you with a needle and a slip of test paper telling you that she HAS to check your levels...yeah, i was fine. This happened twice a day.....
However the opertunity to meet one of my distant relatives in June and to drive with her from arizona to San Fran to vist my other brother came up. Apparently my mother has a cousin who lives in Arizona in a Winnebago, And she wants my mom to join her on the ride, but anyone that knows my mom will agree this is a bad idea. (my mom wouldn't stay in a lake cabin in the woods...and she likes to kick people in the ribs.)
So my mom asked me to go. And i think i will. This is what i know about this woman that will be taking me on this road trip:
1. she is in her 60's
2. she was/ still is a Hippie
3. Now, she only smokes weed and drives her mother arround in this huge ass contraption that she apparently painted....
4. I met her once when i was 8 and i remember her swearing alot and me thinking that living in a car was the coolest thing ever and asking my mom when we were going to do that.

so, she said she would take me to the red wood forest and i have always wanted to go there and everyone that has ever known me knows how much i love car rides and riding with people i hardly know to places i have never been, so this ought to be the best thing ever.
I would like to meet up with all of you that have moved to the CA area in my 2 week trip. I figured i would stay in SF for a week and head out to LA for the other one...i have to work on the dates, but i will let you know as soon as i figure that out.
Also i went to this amazing flea market this weekend and bought a Col. Sanders bank, some issues of cracked magazine and i convinced my mom to buy this ridiculous alligator holding a tray. Its 4 feet tall....it has to be the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen. And now its next to the television at my parents house. Its great. I think i am going to start to convince Claire that she needs a bunch of really ridiculous things for the house and then invite all of you over to view them. Don't worry, Al will get you drunk and your blood sugar will be checked regularly
