Upon further research into this topic i have discovered that i agree with you. However, now i am unsure if a "Blondie" is a cookie bar or a brownie. And it was not wise of me to use that term without knowing what infact a blondie was...now i think a blondie is a combination cookie/brownie....cause it has the elements of both in its batter and a bunch of other stuff thrown in there...like coconuts and caramel....like a "CONGO BAR." When i first thought about your two points about how its the dough that makes the determination as to weather its a cookie or a brownie and not the shape. That totally makes sense. I mean, you don't take ground turkey and pass it off as a hamburger, cause its not...its ground turkey shaped like a hamburger. or as my friend Ken pointed out: If you have a bunt cake pan and you put cake batter in it, bake it, out will come a bunt cake. If you take that same bunt cake pan and put Jell-O in it, refrigerate it, it will still be Jell-O when it comes out of the mold. Not a cake bitches! So nick, i never took a side on the argument cause i thought Meg would kill me in my sleep or run me over with her car she was so mad at you that day....but now i have to say that those "cookie bars" that we had at school are in fact cookies that they tried to fancify by shaping them into bar form. I really did try to find two reasons to prove you wrong, just for arguments sake, but i couldn't find any.
