(no subject)
I headed out of Peekskill around 11ish to meet up with Joe and Megan for lunch. I ate at the Mediterranian Grill in New Paltz for the first time and enjoyed it. I haven't had a good soulvaki in years. I hopped onto 87 and made it to Syracuse in about 3 hours or so. My lovely buddy taliesinsmuse was waiting for me so we hopped in the car and went over to Wegmans which by the way is like one of the best grocery stores I've ever been to. I could have shopped for hours. All the while I've been texted with qjscott about him not coming to hang out with me. Little did I know that when we turned into the parking lot that lovely man would be standing in the parking lot waiting for us. Sneaky fucker!
While taliesinsmuse went to go pick up
finland_serf and I cooked us up some dinner. It's was alright but I didn't time it right so I felt that it was a little dried out. After that we lounged around and I think watched 300. I have to agree when they all said it was a chance to use your surround sound system. But it helped me sleep which I really needed.
Saturday the Goddess that is Keirin made us blueberry pancakes and bacon. I swear I'll marry that woman someday. After that we headed off to the wineries in Senaca. We stopped at a few different ones but the couple that I can remember is Earle Estates. Tickled Hill and Rogue something Winery. At each place I found at least one very tasty wine that I wanted to bring home. Alas it wasn't meant to be. But we had a great time tasting and joking and running through the rain. Saturday night I had another good night of sleep. That house is so comfy to be in.
Sunday morning I tried to sleep a bit late and did. But got up immediately when I saw Den. I hadn't taken any of the close up shots I had wanted to. So sleepy Den became my model for a few moments. I swear I'll get some the next time I go up. All three folks saw me off with hugs and kisses and love. And the feeling was quite mutual.
