that Arctic cyclone, eh?
Um, yes, one of those giant spiraling cyclonic storms, like a hurricane or typhoon, but in this case not quite so strong. This one is more like a tropical storm, except you can't call it tropical when it's north of Alaska.
It used to be about the size of Alaska, too -- maybe 1,000 miles across -- but it's finally starting to break up.
Yes,
GAC-2012 has been churning away up there for days, and no, that's not been doing much for the
already-thinning Arctic ice cap. Probably has been doing some very odd things to the weather in sub-polar climes, as well.
