Yes, it is true that some poeple in society say that a zygote is not a human being. So I am wondering...when do you consider it a human being? When do you think is the magic age/growth of development period that the baby becomes a human being? (Something I find interesting..a lot of human beings in history were not considered human by society, even though they obviously were....slaves, african americans, women/children, jews, etc...kind of a big similarity to unborn children nowadays).

I like your fun question. In your scenario, I think I would have a problem with turning the robot off, just like in bicentennial man. The reason is this....if there is a possibility we are killing an innocent human (or in this case, possible intelligent life), should we just assume it's not a kill it anyway? Especially if the reason is for "convenience"? Although this hypothetical situation is not the same as with abortion (zygotes, embryos, fetuses have no articifial parts and they have 100% human parts). Anyway, here is a scenario for you: If you are driving and you see a shadow and you think it is possible a human in the dark but it could jsut be a shadow of a tree, do you keep speeding and drive into it or do you swerve out of the way?

Shouldn't we give the benefit of the doubt to life? If we don't know when human life begins, the benefit of the doubt should go to preserving life. Otherwise it's like saying, "This may or may not be a human child, therefore, it's alright to destroy it."
