The EGO Has Landed in my mailbox!
Wow - it's been over a year since I posted anything - I gotta get back in the habit again.
Anyway, I received my copy of lukeski's The EGO Has Landed.
Now, I've been to a number of Luke's concerts (heck, I run the sound board for him when he's at MidSouthCon :) ), but I've never been able to get decent footage of any of them, mainly due to lack of fundage for REAL video equipment :). Finally, I've somethig permanent that I can show people when they ask why they really need to come to the con and see this guy.
However, the concert footage is just half of it - there's plenty of hilarious stuff on there, including full-fledged videos for Stealing Like A Hobbit, Star Wars Trilogy Homesick Blues and the work-in-progress on the video for the incomporable Grease Wars(which I personally think is one of the most brilliant humor pieces ever created). There are interviews with dementia artists like wormquartet (now the whole mullet-in-hat-in-public-for-20-minutes thing makes sense, pixelene :) ), commercials for them, even outtakes!
