This is what my history notes look like..

But yeah, my notes before a big test. Test is on Vietnam, China, and civil rights in the USA.
European countries monopolize different areas of China to make trading easier. Chinese people really hate this, and the boxer rebellion happens. In 55 days it is put down, and the European countries increase their colntrol on China. Sun Yat-sen wants to rebel, and be more like western countries. Nationalism, Democracy, Socialism. He fuck yeah awesome’s against a four year old toddler and declares China democratic republican. His gvt is called Kuomintang. Yuan Shi-Kai, who was supposed to stop Sun yat-sen was like, ‘plz can I has president?’ and Sun was like ‘....okay.’ and Then turns out Yuan is a total bitch and becomes dictator. He bans KMT.
Yuan soon dies, and then China is like, all sad and stuff, with so many people wanting to rule it. North = some warlord just like Yuan. South is the KMT. The warlord declares war on Germany during WWI so they can stop international interference. HOWEVER, warlord is stupid as fuck because after they win, the TOV gives the chinese land to the Japs. Those damn Japs. U mad? Stay mad. The May of the 5th movement happens, where many people are angry and sad and bawww cry HARDER. However, there are many more supporters of the KMT.
In 1921, Russia helps China set up a communist party. The communist party and KMT group up to defeat the warlords. Mao is the founder of The communist party, while the commander of KMT is Chiang. With the help of Russia, these two badasses and bro parties control all fo South China. BUT THEN BUT THEN BUT THEN! Chiang is like lol jk, and makes KMT attack the Communist. Aka many people dead and stuff. Communists flee south.
In the south, Mao recollects his people and makes the PLA (people’s liberation army ) and the red army. They start helping peasants out, and is all nice to them. Chiang is like ohhh no you don’t! And surrounds where the communists are staying and cuts off all food and stuff. Mao is like oh shit! And him and the PLA decide to go climb some mountains to get to a village north. Lots of PLA’s die. (80k / 100k) <- Long March.
In WWII, Chiang and Mao make an alliance to fight off the Japanese. Chiang really didn’t want to because he doesn’t care about the Japanese killing his people. But apparently one of his commanders kidnapped him and was like, gonna kill you if you don’t! So he had to. They fight a lot, but Mao’s PLA fights the most.. They were losing, but when Japanese put up a campaign the three all’s: Burn all, slay all, loot all, they stepped up and pushed the Japanese back.
When the war ended and they won, The US continues helping Chiang by giving them weapons and stuff. The Russians who are supposed to be helping just takes tons of resources and runs off. Even though Chiang has better stuff, Mao’s army suddenly exploded and had babies or something. Or gained more supporters. Your pick. Anyways, Mao has lots of people and they’re just better. In a final battle Mao wins, and China is unified as People’s Republic of China.
Obviously there's more detail to it than I described, but those details are already in my head so I didn't write them down. These notes are strictly for the chronological order of things.
