Moms deserve so much respect. You sound like you do enough for three women! And I feel you on the preemie babies. My dad was a heart surgon and my mom is a nurse, and when I was a kid I used to love going to the neonate unit and looking at all the sleeping babies.

Do the very young preemies take regular infant formula, or do you give them a special diet?

We do have a special infant formula, we try to get the breastmilk to them first and alot of times they add a fortifier to add calories. What we hope to start doing is testing the breastmilk to get the calorie count and then deciding how much fortifier for each specific baby.

The worst thing with this preemie, she is not in the NICU, she is with mom, so we really have to make sure she is doing the right thing.

I think all moms are highly underrated and underestimated. Something happens after birth that gives a superpower to be three women!
