Look, mom! A fairy!
I never realized how un-Christmassy we were until this year.
We were at my brother's house and my 6-year-old, upon spying the angel on top of the Christmas tree, exclaims "Oh, look, mom! There's a fairy!"
Then, tonight at this Christmas light thing at the city park, we passed a lighted elf and my son was all, "Did you see that wizard?" On the next pass he corrected himself, with "Oh, no, I guess it's a demon."
Afterwards, a Santa Claus hands out candy canes and my son held up his cane and says "Hey! That guy gave me this thingy!"
::facepalm:: When did I become so lacking in Christmas spirit that my kids don't know basic holiday icons?
