The picking_losers "Out Like a Lamb" Fic Challenge
Oddly enough, I was brainstorming this challenge/awards scenario a month ago with angel_grace. Little did we know how fitting it would turn out to be!
Fans of Veronica Mars' disreputable yet impressively built Sheriff Don Lamb are in mourning after his on-air demise. Fortunately, we have the realm of fan fiction to work out our myriad issues: grief, denial, acceptance, etc. Thus, picking_losers brings you the "Out Like a Lamb" Fic Challenge. This is a free-for-all, do-as-you-will challenge, encouraging intrepid fan fiction writers to address Lamb's death in any way they see fit. Witness Protection? Go for it. Crossover? Hell yeah. Reincarnation? Sure! Dead, dead, ever-so-very dead, with Veronica dancing on his grave? Knock yourself out!
The guidelines:
1. Fics must be at least 400 words in length, grammar and spell-checked and/or beta-read, and formatted with a standard header as illustrated in this community's User Info.
2. All ratings are welcome.
3. As this is a Veronica and Lamb community, please do mention Veronica in some context. She does not have to be a romantic option (though we do like that sort of thing).
4. All fics must be posted at picking_losers by 10 p.m. EST on March 31, 2007. (You can cross-post to your heart's content.)
**Feel free to pimp this challenge wherever you see fit. Yes, this does bend picking_losers' steadfast Fight Club rule, but that was designed more to prevent a scenario like this: "OMG! Kristen/Michael/Rob/Guy Who Plays Lars, did u know therez a comm for Lamb and Veronica where peeps write them having Teh Hottt Sex0R? :::giggle:::"
