Zevran? Thank the Maker, a familiar voice!

And here I had started to think I was the only one quite so unlucky as to end up here. [laughs] It is strange, though; I am quite glad to see you, but to see you here...how does one say "welcome" and "I'm so sorry" at the same time?

Who would have ever thought the day would come when you would be happy to see me, though? Ah, Mayfield does work some strange wonders.

Well let's just say this, Zevran. I would prefer you over Morrigan any day.

You would prefer darkspawn over Morrigan, I suspect, so forgive me if I am not too intensely flattered.

...Yes I would prefer darkspawn over that vile woman.

How long have you been here for, Zevran?

It is...rather hard to say. When I first arrived, it was before I had even attacked you and the others, and I spent some weeks here. Then I was suddenly sent back to Ferelden with no memories of this place at all - as if I had never left - and you know what happened after that; we fought the Blight together and defeated the archdemon. We were on the road to Weisshaupt when I was brought back here again, memories restored and only a day after I had left the last time, and it has been a week or two since then.

Mayfield is a very confusing place, I can tell you that.

That's... that's insane! You mean all that time we were together, it only took a day here? Does that mean we could possibly go back again? Back to Ferelden and all I mean.

So it would seem, yes. But there is no guarantee we would not wind up back here again, if we did...though others have left and stayed gone, so it is entirely unpredictable.

This is all so unnerving. Is there any sort of 'bright side' to this situation!?

Well...I died here, and then I got better?

Pleasant! I just can't wait to be killed! Bring out the pitchforks!

Well, consider it this way - in your line of work, it's certainly an advantage.

Really? How so, exactly?

Are you telling me that a Warden cannot think of any useful applications for being able to die without having to stay dead?

pickedontemplar July 25 2010, 04:31:16 UTC
That whole thing. Doesn't it still hurt when you die? I mean... sure you come back. But the pain is still there.
