The Reason why I'm at LJ: Arashi
It's night time already and I feel a little lonely so I guess I'll have to write something to fill my LJ. I'm new in this thing and admittedly guilty of stalking that's why I ended up creating an account. It's nice to have found a community which generously caters to a fan's needs. I really couldn't ask for more.
I got curious with our beloved boyband because of MatsuJun's Hana Yori Dango. That classic "Wish" can't stop ringing inside my head, so I decided to look up the culprits who sang the song in the net.
I browsed... browsed... but I can't see a music video for it, but I stumbled to another music video entitled "Monster" by Arashi, and I thought that that video will do since I want to know them after all. I played the video and I saw five dancing boys in elegant silky black (streaked with gold) outfits, and yeah. they're singing while doing a snap here and there. Then goes the little man from behind with his solo part singing a language I can't quite comprehend, but something in his facial expression made me continue to view them. He moves in a snappy way and his voice melted me right away. His nose was very attractive. Yes, and every one seemed gorgeous.
I got more curious after watching the MV because I didn't think that I like them just by watching one video. I even thought that I really hate all pop boy bands after all, Korean or Japanese. But something about the boys, that five particular boys, made me reconsider my "hate jpop/kpop idols" attitude. So I looked up for more of their music and even shows and, in no time, I was hooked.
I mean, these boys are wonderful. You just have to know them deeper to love them more than you loved any boy bands before. I'm sure I'll never be a fan of any boy group or idols or the singing dancing gwapitos because I'm no fan of Pop music, but Arashi is a huge, important, solid exception. I just love how these boys show their real selves, their imperfections, and their talents. Their friendship is stunning, say, you don't usually find a group that will stick together for quite a long time (14 years), do you? And when they're together you'll always be sure to get a laugh.
Plus, and this is a big plus, their songs are not bad. Rather, the words carry deep meanings, At times the lyrics were poetic and subtle, and the melody that goes with it is flawless. And they sang it as if they are one. They sang their songs with great conviction and they will make you smile by the way they sing them. Ultimately, their voices and songs always touch your heart.
Aaah, so that's the reason why I'm here, to see and know more of them through you, LJ friends. I'm a new fan and a new LJ user, so please take care of me. :-)
