XD I have no clue. I can totally manufacture a reasonable sounding line of inspiration though: some people (I don't know who, on Mugglenet or somewhere) ages and ages ago suggested that Thomas Sangster should be cast as Dennis Creevey, and Sangster was in the BBC miniseries version of Feather Boy in which he had glasses (see my icon) and looked vaguely like a young Tennant in glasses (see your icon), and so Dennis as a Companion was born!

(I drabbled it June-ish last year if you wanna read that. There should be a couple more Companionverse fics on the site but I am totally lazy haven't gotten around to it yet.)
