[Romano wasn’t a creature who liked much change. Though he didn’t mind it much, change was sometimes dangerous, sometimes led to a change in politics, sometimes a change in boundaries. Romano, fortunately, was one who stood against much change and tried to keep what he had as it was. That wasn’t to say that he refused to alter a few things now and then. For instance, clothes were meant to be changed. It was awful to wear the same thing, day in and day out, and watch those once beautiful clothes fade into muddy colors.
Some days he hadn’t noticed. Other days it was blindingly obvious. Today, it was the latter.
Light filtered into the Pokémon Center’s room, bouncing off of each reflective object. It pierced through the windows and took a glance at the large mirror within the room. The mirror was placed in an area just high enough for a child to look at himself. And Romano, already a spoiled child, had no problem looking over his reflection. Since coming to Johto, he hadn’t had a chance to see himself fully. There had been puddles of water, lakes, ponds and the like, but nothing solid.
Nothing that could have shown him that bit of height he gained, or how badly his clothes had been ruined. But now he could see just how good a small change of clothes (courtesy of France, that wily bastard) was for him. To say he was enamored with the new clothes would have been an understatement. Romano admired his new clothes as one would a large diamond or a fine piece of art - with loud, sweeping gestures and exaggerated praise not meant for anyone’s ears but his own. It took him some time before he noticed France walking into the room. It took him much less time than that to ignore the other nation and resume his appreciation with much less enthusiasm.]
"Quick, jerk, get a painter! These clothes are awful but if they're in this light they look somewhat presentable!"
"And where would I hire a suitable painter in this place? Have you seen what they call art here?"
"I haven't bothered to see any of the art in this World. And I doubt there is anything worth seeing. Knowing that, it should be obvious that it must not be worth much to anyone. In that case, get one of those 'camera' things! Damn, are you really so stupid as to not figure that out on your own?"
"The 'Gear is a kind of camera, Romano. But if you want yourself a photo shoot, we'll have to stop showing off and switch to the still shot function."
"No it's not. I saw with my own eyes what a 'camera' looks like, and it looks nothing like that thing! ...Y-You bastard! Y-You've been pointing that thing at me all this time?"
"The 'Gear has multiple functions. A simple camera cannot text people. And I haven't been hiding it; it's been here... the whole time."
“Liar!”
[giggling] "Maybe we'll find someone to paint you this way. People are quite generous here."
[frown] "...If that's the only way, then -- then I su-suppose... b-but it's my decision to do so!"
"That's true. I should have asked you, but I only started filming when you asked for a painter..."
"Of course! You'd should have to say something like that." [SO CONFIDENT]
"You can ask." [waving the 'Gear, causing the focus to wobble about]
[looks nervous for a moment, as if reconsidering his words] "Y-You can go ahead and do that. I've other things to do..."
"Alright then." [83]
[ooc: France and Romano will both respond to this post, so expect them~!]
