So those quizzes I was worried about yesterday? Totally not as bad as I thought they would be. I managed to get through the musicianship one without too many mistakes, and the piano quiz was a) a lot shorter than I thought it would be, and b) not over the repertoire, which means I have two more weeks before midterms to get it to where I want it.
Studio was fine today- I sounded better than I have in weeks. Right before studio, it was as rainy and cloudy as can be. In the time between when I got back from religion and when I left for studio, it poured, stopped, and cleared to a brilliant blue sky. Then in the time when I was in studio, it went from being bright and sunny back to being forebodingly cloudy. That's Texas weather for ya.
The forecast for Saturday is actually really nice, besides the rain. The high is only supposed to be in the low to mid 70s, which makes a nice change. Of course, it is supposed to rain, which means that this week I need to remember my rainjacket as well as the whole list of necessary things. It'll be nice to not feel like I'm dying when I'm in uniform.
I'm seriously going to try to go to bed early tonight, hence the (hopefully) abnormally early posting. All I have left to do is theory and the last of the u1000 stuff to do. Woo. So yeah, going to bed early might actually happen.
For dinner all I had was a breadstick and some applesauce. I tried to eat a grilled cheese, but could only manage two bites before it made me feel ill, which is probably not a good thing. I'm just...not hungry. I tried to eat, I promise. I really did.
Today was actually a nice, relaxed day, for the most part. I had time this morning to go to Common Grounds and get my once a week double shot caramel coffee crunch with everything on top but the whipped cream. Yeah....I'z complicated.
It's currently a wonderful lightshow outside in the direction of Dallas. The storms are coming, and I like that. Well....when I'm not out in them, at least. I love lightning. It makes me happy, and it frustrates me at the same time-mainly because it's so darn hard to photograph. I'm wishing I had an SLR, a tripod, and a way to get onto Collins' roof right now- the lightning both cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud, sometimes at the same time. It would make a beautiful photograph. But I have none of those. Oh- and something I just figured out. I'm pretty sure that Collins is the third tallest building in Waco. There's the Alico building, the Baylor:Robinson tower, and Collins. Yeah. The third tallest building only has six floors. Different than what I grew up with, that's for sure.
My brother has the dreaded ham!thrax so I might not get to go home next weekend. *bites lip* That's frustrating.
Tomorrow should be fairly good, too. I actually get a break from things, and it might be raining so maybe, just maybe, practice will be cancelled. Maybe it will rain.
I'm really tired, and I still haven't done either my music theory or my u1000, so here I am, temporarily signing off.
Oh! I just remembered. If I have time, BUGWB webcomic,
bugwb.livejournal.com, might actually be updated tonight!
